Ice Prince, Mafikizolo to perform at BET awards

NIGERIAN rapper Ice Prince will perform at the 2014 BET Awards happening on the 29 June live at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Ice Prince will perform with other African acts alongside the very best entertainers in American music.

The 27-year-old star, who real name is Panshak Zamani, was nominated twice for the BET Best International act Africa, before eventually taking home the award in 2013, this will be his first time performing at the ceremony for his American fans.

Meanwhile another Nigerian, Tiwa Savage, South African Afro-pop duo Mafikizolo and Ghanaian hip hop artist Sarkodie will perform as part of the “Music Around the Globe” presentation on Saturday 28 June.
All three artists were nominated in the BET Awards Best International Act: Africa category.

This is the first time international acts have performed since the introduction of international BET Award categories.

Other acts set to perform include Lil Wayne, Jennifer Hudson, Pharrell williams and Mary J Blige.
The awards ceremony will be hosted by comedian Chris Rock. — ibtimes
