The Corporate Challenge is a team building exercise that promotes healthy lifestyle among corporates from different companies through various activities.
It was first held in 2013 by Sky Events but was handed over to events management company, Black Mix Lesotho, with whom they have worked on the 2017 edition of the event.
The Corporate Challenge is designed to disrupt the usual office routines and promote fitness, health and networking opportunities among corporates in a relaxed environment. It started as a cycling challenge with participating companies forming teams of five each to cycle around the Maseru Mall building before more challenges were added over the years.
The teams were segmented in the all-male, all-female and mixed (both genders) categories and the teams worked to clock the shortest time.
However, it was a basic rule that the team members reach the finish line at the same time therefore, it is a requirement for members to assist each other to complete the obstacles quickly to reach the finish line early.
In the all-male category, event management company Jam Session scooped the third prize for completing the challenge in 18 minutes. Data Dean finished second with 17 minutes and EFS finished in 14 minutes to clinch the first place.
In the all-female category, Post Bank took the first prize after completing the challenge in 28 minutes followed by the Centre of Accounting Studies team which took the second prize while the Maseru Mall team took home the third prize.
Serati outdoors won the mixed category completing the challenge in 21 min followed by Vodacom T 101 in second place with 21 min 21 seconds and New Dean in third with 21 minutes 31 seconds.
