TELECOMMUNICATIONS powerhouse, Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL), in partnership with its subsidiary, Sasai Econet Financial Services (SEFS), has launched ‘Re ‘Moja’, a four-month nationwide customer loyalty campaign that will see more than M7 million worth of prizes awarded to customers across Lesotho.
Running from July to October 2026, the campaign is aimed at rewarding loyal customers for using ETL and SEFS products and services in their daily lives. Customers earn points, receive cashback on selected transactions, redeem rewards and qualify for prize draws through qualifying transactions.
Unlike traditional promotions that require customers to buy specific products, ‘Re ‘Moja’ rewards everyday usage. Customers accumulate points when they purchase airtime, voice, SMS or data bundles, pay bills through EcoCash, make merchant payments, use Bank-2-Wallet services or pay EcoSure premiums.
Prizes on offer include cash rewards, airtime, utility vouchers, Aranda blankets, Econet Prime smartphones, iPhone 17 smartphones, branded merchandise, an exclusive FIFA World Cup Final Match Fan Park experience and the Chief Executive Officer’s customer appreciation awards.
The Friday activation kicked off with a vibrant convoy from Econet’s headquarters in Maseru CBD along Kingsway to Sefika Complex. The event featured electrifying performances by musicians Omali Themba, Litšepe LR, Bobby Stringz and Citizen Ls, while dance crew Soth Kids and comedian Lilaphalapha kept the crowd entertained throughout the day.
Speaking at the campaign launch at Sefika Complex on Friday, ETL Acting General Manager for Products and Services, Ketja Nhlapo, said the initiative was the company’s way of appreciating customers for their continued loyalty.
“Our customers are at the centre of everything we do. Through Re ‘Moja – Everyday Usage, Everyday Rewards, we are saying thank you by rewarding our customers for the everyday choices they already make. Whether staying connected through voice, data or our digital services, every transaction now becomes an opportunity to be rewarded.
“We invite all Basotho to participate and experience the benefits of being part of the ETL family by dialling *303*03# to opt in,” Mr Nhlapo said.
SEFS General Manager, Moeketsi Mafereka, said the campaign also reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing digital financial inclusion in Lesotho.
“At SEFS, we are committed to making digital financial services both rewarding and convenient. Re ‘Moja’ transforms everyday financial transactions into rewarding experiences while encouraging more customers to embrace secure digital payment solutions. We are excited to reward thousands of loyal customers over the coming months,” Mr Mafereka said.
He said customers can also purchase additional points by dialling *30303# and redeem accumulated points for selected rewards, giving them even more opportunities to benefit throughout the campaign.
Mr Mafereka encouraged customers to follow Econet’s official social media platforms and communication channels for campaign updates, winner announcements and information on how to maximise their rewards and improve their chances of winning.
