mandoza-mduduzi-tshabalala11AS music fans continue to come to terms with the news that music legend Mandoza has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, rapper AKA has taken to social media to wish the artist a speedy recovery.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, AKA paid tribute to Mandoza, calling him a “legit legend of our time” and offering support to the sick artist and his family.

AKA’s comment comes in the wake of a flood of similar messages of support sent by friends and fans of the musician.

Fans have been united in prayer ever since news of Mandoza’s renewed cancer battle emerged earlier this past week.

In a statement issued by his family on Tuesday, it was revealed that Mandoza’s cancer had “metastasized to his brain” and it was initially stated that his condition was critical and the artist was “fighting for his life’.

Speaking to YOU magazine later in the week, Mandoza’s wife Mpho explained that her husband started complaining of severe headaches and problems with his eye two weeks ago. It was then that an optometrist advised him to have an MRI scan, which detected the brain tumour.

“It was like history was repeating itself because it sounded very similar to the last time,” she told the magazine.

And even though Mpho admits that Mandoza’s condition is serious, she says he is still able to walk, talk and eat.

“It’s a serious condition but not critical at the moment, so my husband is at home and like before, we believe that we’ll make it through this again,” she added. — TimesLive
