RAPPER Unkle Krack has finally released the long-awaited video for the track Ak’u ik’hants’e, a collaboration with fellow singer Mega Hertz.
The video was released on social media platforms yesterday afternoon.
The video’s release comes on the back of the single released last October and weeks after its teaser which has been trending on social media.
Unkle Krack told the Weekender yesterday that he was upbeat about the project that he has been performing lately with Mega Hertz at events among them the ‘Add Some Flavour Flying Fish Chillas.
He said they started shooting the video last November and have worked tirelessly to perfect it so that it meets the standard set by the track.
He worked with various local photographers and videographers such as Nkopane Mojakisane, Sehlabaka Rampeta, Lebohang Thepa and Nkoanyane Pitso.
“With this video, we wanted to portray the same image we depicted with the song which talks about self-pride,” Unkle Krack said.
“This vividly comes out as we mostly used Sesotho to produce a trap song, something unusual these says.”
Unkle Krack said he had not planned any collaboration with Mega Hertz but he realised that it could do even better with the rapper’s input when he revisited the demo.
“I had recorded a few verses and a hook sometime back and when I revisited my work, I could hear something missing. I then decided to send it to Mega Hertz and he liked it instantly. He worked on it and sent it back the same day with a few additional verses…it became an instant hit,” Unkle Krack said.
