THE Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) has appointed Kwetliso Semoko as its general manager to replace Baitsi Motsamai who resigned from the position.

PLMC boss, Leuta Leuta, yesterday confirmed the development, saying Semoko had been tasked to take the Premier League to the next level with his marketing expertise.

“Semoko is our new general manager and he takes over from Baitsi Motsamai who has left us. We needed someone who will help to take us to the league to a more advanced level,” Leuta said.

“We interviewed him and we were convinced that he is the right candidate for the position. His presentation was out of this world as he has knowledge of how the corporate world operates as well as event managements. He has worked with big companies like Matekane Group of Companies.”

He also said that Semoko was knowledgeable about the strengths and weaknesses of local football.

“I was surprised about the amount of his knowledge of our football and that will make it easy for him to hit the ground running.

“He will start on a one year probation after which we will decide whether or not to renew his contract,” Leuta said.
