Blue Mountain Inn extends helping hand to Likuena

MASERU — Lesotho senior national team coach, Leslie Notši, has hailed Blue Mountain Inn after the hotel group partnered with the Lesotho Football Association to provide Likuena with accommodation ahead of the remaining 2014 World Cup qualifying matches.
The next match is against Zambia on March 22. The sponsorship deal will see Likuena holding their camps at Berea Blue Mountain Inn, Mountain View Hotel in Leribe and Hotel Mount Maluti in Mohale’s Hoek ahead of their must-win World Cup tie match against Zambia. The sponsorship deal which is worth M100 000 was launched in Teyateyaneng on Thursday.
“We are very delighted to have been given a sponsorship boost ahead of such an important game and I would like to thank the management of the Blue Mountain Inn hotel group,” Notši said.

It’s a big motivation for me and the players because we have now been handed a hotel sponsorship and we will be able to hold camps without a headache. “It is also a chance for other football supporters across the country to host the team in their respective districts,” said Notši. The Likuena coach said he also took his team for an evaluation at the Free State Sports and Science Institution earlier this week.

“It is important to be mentally and physically ready for Zambia, they are a formidable side and recently played in the competitive Africa Cup of Nations tournament that was held in South Africa,” said Notši. The former Lioli and Matlama coach said most of the players who play in the premier league are currently not in good shape after the long break.
“The task is now to race against time to make sure the players are fit for the game against Chipolopolo,” he said.
He also said their worries on the fitness of Matlama captain, Nkau Lerotholi, who remains in the cold as his team would not play their opening second round league match.

The Sea Point giants have been suspended by the premier league after they were involved in a bitter row with league sponsors, Vodacom Lesotho, prior to their match against LCS earlier last month.
Speaking at the same function, the hotel’s general manager, Jophen Kalavadakken, said the sponsorships is meant to build momentum towards the World Cup match against Zambia.
“It will be a home game for us, every crucial game for that matter and it’s an honour and matter of pride for our small group of hotels to be part of such an event,” Kalavadakken said.
