KICK4LIFE and Mehalalitoe star, Senate Letsie, has secured another scholarship to study in Canada.
Senate left the country last Monday for Sydney, Canada.
She will be studying for a Bachelors of Arts in General Psychology at Cape Breton University for the next three years, Kick4Life announced this weekend.
Apart from studying, Senate will also be representing university’s women’s soccer team, with opportunities to play across Canada.
This is Senate’s second scholarship with the assistance of Kick4Life.
She bagged her first in 2017 to study for an Associate Degree in Arts at the Lewis and Clark University in the United States (US). She graduated in 2019.
Since returning from the US, Senate has performed a stellar role for the Kick4Life Ladies’ team helping the side win the Dare to Dream Women’s Super League last year.
She scored a brace in the final against archrivals, LDF and completed the tournament as one of the top scorers with 13 goals.
Speaking to the Sunday Express this weekend, Kick4Life director of football, Lepekola Seetane, hailed Senate for her hard work both in her academics as well as her football career.
He said Senate was a good model proving the importance of determination.
“We are excited for Senate that her journey continues with Kick4Life’s support. She continues to be a role model for young female footballers in Lesotho and we are hopeful this move paves way for more aspiring student-athletes within Kick4Life and across Lesotho,” Seetane said.
