A Matlameng-Pitseng resident in Leribe has become the first winner of the M10 000 cash prize in Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) and Sasai Econet Financial Services’ (SEFS) ongoing Re ‘Moja customer loyalty campaign.

Lebohang Lesasa received the prize during a campaign activation held in Maputsoe on Friday after purchasing M50 worth of calling and data bundles, qualifying him for the draw.

His win comes just days after ETL and SEFS rewarded seven other customers with an all-expenses-paid trip to Sandton, South Africa, where they watched the FIFA World Cup final live at Montecasino as part of the campaign.

The Re ‘Moja campaign, a joint initiative by ETL and SEFS, aims to reward customer loyalty while promoting the use of the companies’ products and services. The four-month campaign, which runs until October 2026, offers customers an opportunity to win a share of prizes worth M7 million.

ETL Acting General Manager for Products and Services, Ketja Nhlapo, said the company was pleased to reward customers for their continued support.

“We are truly delighted to celebrate Mr Lebohang Lesasa as our first M10 000 cash winner through the Re ‘Moja campaign. As ETL and SEFS, we strongly believe that loyalty should be rewarded, and Re ‘Moja is our way of thanking and appreciating customers who continue to choose our products and services each and every day.

“This is only the beginning, and we encourage all eligible customers to continue participating because there are many more exciting prizes to be won before the campaign ends in October,” Mr Nhlapo said.

An elated Mr Lesasa said he never expected his routine purchase of data and calling bundles would earn him the cash prize.

“I never imagined that buying my usual data and calling bundles would make me a M10 000 winner. I am truly grateful to Econet Telecom Lesotho and Sasai Econet Financial Services for this incredible surprise.

“This money is going to be key to help set up some income-generating project that will uplift the standard of living for my family,” he said.

Customers can continue to qualify for the campaign by purchasing eligible bundles and using qualifying ETL and SEFS services throughout the promotion period.

According to the organisers, more cash prizes and other rewards remain up for grabs before the campaign concludes in October.
