KWESE TV increased Free-To-Air channels to five. This was revealed by Econet’s Product Manager: VAS, Tlhaku Mokhethi.

Kwese TV, brought by Econet Media, is Africa’s newest multi-platform Pay TV network that delivers best-in-class live sports and entertainment to Lesotho consumers at home and on mobile devices.

Mr Mokhethi said that when Econet introduced Kwese TV to the Lesotho market in May this year, only one channel, Kwese Free Sports, could be viewed even when the customers’ subscriptions had expired but now the number has increased to five.

He said that Kwese TV subscribers will watch up-to-date news and soul feeding religious programs on the four new channels.

“This means that Kwese TV customers have access to sports, news and religious channels that they can watch at no cost,” said Mr Mokhethi

He further elaborated that the Free-To-Air channels include news channels 254 NTA and 725 Africa news, sports channel 295 Kwese Free Sports, religious channels 825 Flow TV and 805 Dove TV. In addition to the five Free-To-Air channels, customers can view the highlights of the whole bouquet on the information channel 90.

Mr Mokhethi promised that more Free-To-Air channels will be introduced on an ongoing basis to cater for all Kwese TV customers.

All these Free-To-Air channels change the face of Free-To-Air in Africa and they are available on any Kwese TV decoder without the subscription fees.

Kwese bouquet comes standard with over 60 channels including entertainment, news and sports channels plus five Free-To-Air channels. Free-To-Air channels complement the existing pay-per-view standard channels which are payable on a three, seven and thirty days subscription bundles while the first month upon connection is still free.
