LOCAL online channel, The Glam TV is in talks with South African television stations as part of a broader vision of showcasing the glitz and glamour of the country’s social scene.

The show, which is presented by former LTV Urban Jamz presenter and radio personality, Quizy who also doubles up as producer along with DJ Saxzo of Unicorn Productions, is currently airing on the YouTube platform.

The first episode on 3 June on their YouTube channel, The Glam, covered DJ Mekonko’s Masquerade Birthday Party.

The producers recently told Xpress People that they were in talks with some South African networks and planned to approach LTV and Kwese TV to buy their content.

Quizy said, “The Glam promises a fresh approach as it gives viewers an opportunity to interact and engage weekly, covering a lot of events, from fashion shows, festivals, chill-out sessions, sporting events, interviews and more”.

DJ Saxzo said they “approached a few South African channels which are watched in Lesotho to buy our content and we are still working on proposals for our national television as well Econet’s Kwese TV which has said it needs local content”.

“However, our main aim is to make money from our YouTube channel through subscriptions.

“The challenge we have is that of equipment and funds so we would gladly appreciate a sponsor. We are also looking for people to work with, namely, videographers, graphic designers and sound engineers,” he said.

Quizy said the show inspired viewers to be bold enough to try something new and “become their best selves”.

“With some exciting surprises in store for viewers, The Glam is going to be sexy and inspirational. It boasts of performances, exclusive interviews, competitions and interactions via social media.

“There is no show in the country that empowers artistes in the country hence our industry is non-existent but if viewers get to watch profiles of local artistes and know them better our industry will grow,” Quizy said.
