MASERU — Letšeng Diamonds held a successful invitational Golf Day at Maseru Golf Club on Friday.
The event attracted the who’s who of Lesotho’s business community in a golf feast intended to raise money for charity.
“We raised M40 000 for charities in Mokhotlong from the various companies that attended the event,” event organiser Matšeliso Ramakoae told the Sunday Express yesterday.
“We received M15 000 from Standard Lesotho Bank and M10 000 from Nedbank. We also got contributions from individuals.
“The event went very well. It was well-organised and we had a lovely ceremony at the Lesotho Sun Hotel in the evening. The turnout was very good.”
Letšeng supports several charities in Mokhotlong as part of its social responsibility programme and the money raised on Friday will go towards those communities.
“As a diamond company, we have to give back to the community. In addition to the charities, Letšeng has also given scholarships to deserving students,” Ramakoae said.
