A Thetsane woman is fighting for her life in a local hospital after being shot alongside her husband on Wednesday in their shop in Maseru.
The husband died instantly while the wife is now battling for her life in hospital.
Police spokesperson Clifford Molefe said yesterday: “On Wednesday, some gunmen entered a shop owned by this couple and opened fire on them. Investigations are still ongoing and the suspects are still at large.”
Senior Inspector Molefe refused to say if this was an attempted robbery or the result of an argument.
“I cannot disclose the details of the case because doing so might jeopardise police investigations,” said Senior Inspector Molefe.
