MASERU — The League match between Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) and Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) has been postponed.
Premier league management committee (PLMC) communications and marketing manager, Lehlohonolo Matlosa, said the tie was postponed to allow LCS to prepare for the Caf Champions League.
“LCS was supposed to play against LDF this afternoon but they are currently in Uganda for the preliminary games of the Caf Champions league,” Matlosa said.
The reigning champions were scheduled to lock horns with Uganda Revenue Authority in Kampala yesterday.
Matlosa said LCS’ other match against Majantja on March 3 had also been postponed because they will be hosting Uganda Revenue Authority at Setsoto Stadium in a reverse fixture of the same competition.
The matches against LDF and Majantja would now be played on dates yet to be announced.
Matlosa said the PLMC would meet during the week to re-fixture the two matches.
He added that the PLMC had decided to give LCS two weekends off to enable them to concentrate on their international games.
