Rajoc, Manyofi roll out red carpet

MASERU — Rajoc Hair and Beauty Salon and Afro-pop musician Charles Nkheloane, are promising a “red carpet” show next month.
Nkheloane, affectionately known as Manyofi, is partnering Rajoc Hair and Beauty Salon in organising this show, set for ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru, on December 5.
Rajoc Hair and Beauty Salon will be holding its Face of Rajoc 2009 beauty pageant, while Manyofi launches DJ Sumthyn Black’s album at the same event.  Fans will also be treated to the new house music sound of Muso “Gava” Muso.
The show is expected attract South African entertainment giants such as Andy Magazz, Gun Man (Izo Izo), Ntsiki Mazwai, Sharon (Generations) and DJ Sumthyn Black.
Manyofi, Gava, Les Masterz, Khotso “KRT” Thahane, Fatere and DJ Counter Force will also add to the performers’ line-up.
Organisers also claim some top government officials will grace the show.
Manyofi told Xpress People such collaboration is meant to bring something new to the local entertainment industry.
“On the 5th of December, we will be launching DJ Sumthyn Black and Gava’s new albums, while selecting Face of Rajoc 2009,” Manyofi said.
“It’s gonna be a red-carpet show, because it is the first of its kind in Lesotho, mixing albums’ launch and a beauty pageant.”
He said they decided to partner in this project because Rajoc and Manyofi would mutually benefit from the collaboration.
“Rajoc needed some music and disc-jockeying, while Manyofi Entertainment needs beauty pageants to stage performances,” Manyofi explained, adding several people from South Africa will be attending the show.
“We are expecting South Africans such as Andy Magazz, Gun Man, Ntsiki Mazwai and DJ Sumthyn Black to perform during this show,” he said.
“Sharon from Generations will be the MC.”
Manyofi said they had also decided to include local artistes to make the show more interesting.
“To make sure that the show is of red carpet standard, Manyofi, Gava, Les Masterz, Khotso Thahane, Fatere, DJ Counter Force and many more will also be performing,” he said.
Manyofi said the show would provide spectators with a “lot of fun.”
