MASERU — Tsepiso Sesioana, a psychotherapist, will be the main speaker at the first annual Workers Extravaganza on Friday.
The event will be held at Mathabiseng Convention Centre.
Sesioana will advise employers and employees on how to deal with work-related stress and other problems that are common at the workplace.
South African gospel artiste, Teboho Skhozana, local famo music star Phoka Special, comedians Cura Man and Lilaphalapha and DJ Alex are set to provide some entertainment.
DJ Alex, who is organising the show, told ExpressPeople that the event is meant to bring workers together to allow them “to unwind”.
“Workers Extravaganza is an event that is meant to uplift the spirit of workers and employers from different companies,” DJ Alex said.
“It is also a platform to network and exchange notes in a working environment.”
He added: “We realised that the working environment is no child’s play and it comes with its own set of challenges.
“So we are merely bringing an event where workers can sit and listen to a session of therapy then unwind with good entertainment.”
DJ Alex said they are planning to make the event an annual affair.
“We want to host this event around this time every year.
“We want it to grow and engage everyone who contributes towards the country’s economy,” he added.
“It’s a platform for companies to exchange successes and award their best employees and motivate others to work harder.”
DJ Alex said the show was almost similar to end-of-year parties hosted by individual companies but “this time they are all gathered in one place to not only receive
motivation and advice, but also to party and be entertained by various artistes,” he said.
