Sefalana rewards customers

IN an effort to attract customers to its store, Sefalana Cash and Carry in Maseru yesterday hosted men and women from different societies groups (Stokvels), to demonstrate to them why it is important to purchase from the store.

Customers who attended the occasion were each treated to a lunch meal and went home with free grocery hampers worth over M300 each. The hampers were from Sefalana and their suppliers. Some of the goodies included Tripharm skin care products, Makhaleng Herbal Petroleum products, Perfect Rice, Best Tasty, LDA water and Imana soup among others.

Sefalana’s Sales and Marketing Officer, John Mpopo, said they host the event annually and call all customers who buy from the store every month or towards the end of the year in large quantities.

“We organized this event to show appreciation to all our customers who usually buy from us mostly in large quantities. Sefalana management wants all its customers to know that it acknowledges their presence which they grace us with, every time they buy from our store,” Mr Mpopo said.

He added that, “the other purpose is to help customers meet with suppliers of stuff which they buy frequently, so that they can get a chance to ask them any questions they may have regarding their products.”

“Sefalana wants to treat its customers like the kings and queens that they are. As it has been said, the customer is the king and today’s event was a clear demonstration of that.”

When asked what results they get after hosting events like this, Mr Mpopo said, “we have seen a lot of growth in our sales because our store is always fully packed every month end and customers prefer Sefalana over other wholesalers because they know we care about them.”

One of the customers, ‘Manthabiseng Mahao expressed her gratitude to Sefalana Cash and Carry saying that the event was very important to them because whenever they have to buy groceries, they quarrel over which store to choose. She said from now she was certain they would all agree “to buy from Sefalana since it is even cheaper”.

“I am also very happy with this grocery hamper because these items will last my family for some time before we can buy more stuff,” she said.
