POPULAR South African Hip Hop DJs, Milkshake and Vigilante, will return to Maseru tomorrow in an independence eve show slated for Times Café.

Dubbed “Blue Monday”, the show is a collaboration between event outfits Xperience and Black Affluence.

“The event is aimed at ushering Hip Hop lovers into the Independence celebrations in style while also celebrating with tertiary students who graduated in the 2015/2016 academic year,” one of the organisers, Montoeli Moleli told Xpress People this past week.

“We chose Hip Hop because it is one of the most followed genres in the country. Looking at the various events lined up, none had been designed to cater for the genre’s followers.”

Milkshake is one of the most versatile and multicultural DJs in South Africa while the Benoni-born Vigilante is among the pioneering Hip Hop deejays in the neighbouring country. His hits include Sori Makhe and God’s Will.

The duo has been in the country before on several occasions. Milkshake told XpressPeople from South Africa he was looking forward to rocking Maseru once again.

“It is always a great experience performing in Lesotho. The reception is always warm and the people, ladies especially, love to turn up,” he said.

“Revellers can expect the best of Hip Hop featuring the latest hits from South Africa and the best way to see if their expectations will be met is by coming to the show and I promise to deliver.”
