FASHION designer Limpho Sekhoahla will later this month host a runway fashion show dubbed Fashion Beyond Frontiers.

Themed: “Know what and who you are wearing”, the show will be held at Victoria Hotel with the aim to support local fashion designers.

Sekhoahla, who is also the founder of the Bajinity Edition, said the participating designers will showcase their newest designs at the event.

Apart from the fashion, artistes like Kwalitee, Bajin Afro Jazz, Fearless Dance Crew, Matseliso Mohale and Shoeshoe Lerotholi are also expected to perform at the event.

She told the Xpress People in a recent interview that the runway was also a campaign to conscientise people of the designers behind some of the clothes they see daily.

Sekhoahla said 18 designers will be showcasing different capsule collections at the event.

“The designers will not be restricted; they can create designs of their own choice based on their tastes and inspiration,” Sekhoahla said.

“Most of the designers who are participating at the event are upcoming while others are still in school although we will have one international designer Rethabile Anna Majoro of Ree M Creations based in welkom.

“We needed designers without any specifications and most students showed up with beautiful portfolios hence we engaged them,” she said

Bajinity Edition has been showcasing on various fashion platforms including the Lesotho Fashion Week and the Sotho Winter Fashion Week.

Bajinity Edition is a family clothing fashion brand that was established in September 2018 by Sekhoahla and her husband Lebajoa Tjantji.

Sekhoahla told the Xpress People that the brand was derived from her husband’s name, Bajin.

She said the ‘Edition’ part of the name came from the shift of many aspects of the couple’s life.

“My husband was a musician and moved into the fashion industry while I was also leaving my previous brand moving to one that incorporates my family,” Sekhoahla said.

She said Bajinity Edition’s mission is to dress people stylishly in unique designs.
