KICK4LIFE ladies team will be hoping to continue with their good form when they kick start the second round of the Women Super League with a clash against Berea Ladies at Ha Ntjabane Ground on Saturday.

The Old Europa outfit ended the first round like a house on fire, leading the eight team league table with 19 points from seven matches. They are ahead of second placed LDF on goal difference.

League chairperson, Chris Bullock, recently told the Sunday Express that preparations for the second round were complete and all the teams were ready to roll.

“The second round will start on 19 August and the matches will be played in Teyateyaneng with two matches at Ha-Ntjabane and the other two at St Agnes High School on the same day,” Bullock said.

“The competition is improving as teams such as Berea and Basetsana have worked hard to improve their teams and we are seeing better performances on the field.

“We have been working on a four year strategic plan to help us realise our vision of becoming a professionally run and sustainable league.

“It covers development in terms of administration, marketing, youth development and empowerment of women so that the league association and clubs move on to a more professional level over the next four years.”

Bullock, who is also director of football at Kick4Life, said sponsorship remained their biggest challenge and they were still being bankrolled by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA).

“At the moment we are still without sponsors and we are covered by LeFA with the money from FIFA for women football,” Bullock said, adding they hoped to secure sponsorship to stage a Top4 tournament for teams that finished in the top four last season.

Meanwhile, Basetsana and Mafeteng will open the double header at Rantjabane Ground at 12:00 while Sky Battalion will face Rovers at St Agnes Ground. Maputsoe outfit, Stoko will battle LDF in the second match at Rantjabane Ground.
