MASERU — A 22-year-old woman from Leribe was arrested last Saturday after she allegedly torched her boyfriend’s house following an argument.
Police spokesman Masupha Masupha said the woman set the house on fire at around 9.30pm after a dispute with her 23-year-old boyfriend.
No one was injured.
The man reported the matter to the police the next morning, leading to the woman’s arrest.
Masupha said the woman is in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon.
“It is shocking that a disagreement between these two lovers resulted in the destruction of property,” Masupha said, adding that police were investigating the case.
