VODACOM Lesotho has once again secured its place as a Top Employer in Lesotho, receiving this prestigious certification for the sixth consecutive year from the Top Employers Institute.
The certification process conducted by the global Top Employers Institute, evaluates organisations across six domains and 20 human resource (HR) categories, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing.
Vodacom Lesotho’s consistently high performance across these areas highlights its prioritisation of employee wellbeing.
According to a statement released by the telecommunications giant on Thursday, this milestone also coincides with Vodacom Group’s recognition as a Top Employer on the African continent for the second consecutive year, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee development and progressive HR practices.
This latest recognition further cements Vodacom Lesotho’s reputation as a leading employer, setting the benchmark for HR excellence and workplace inclusivity in Lesotho and beyond.
Vodacom Lesotho’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohale Ralebitso, expressed pride in the achievement.
“This remarkable accomplishment reflects our strategic intent to cultivate a supportive and inclusive workplace, where every single employee, regardless of background or identity, feels valued, empowered, and respected,” Mr Ralebitso said.
“A diverse workforce fosters innovative thinking, improved problem-solving, and better business outcomes. We are particularly proud of our efforts to elevate women representation at the executive level, demonstrating our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.”
Additionally, Vodacom Lesotho’s Executive Head of Human Resources, Moliehi Makhetha, underscored the company’s dedication to its workforce.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition for the sixth year in a row. This award underscores our commitment to placing employees at the core of our strategy and delivering world-class HR practices. It is also a testament to our team’s feedback, particularly through initiatives like the Spirit Beat survey, which inspires us to continuously enhance our work environment,” Ms Makhetha said.
The Spirit Beat survey, conducted annually by Vodacom Lesotho, measures employee alignment with the company’s values, identifying areas for growth and strengthening employee-employer relations. It is complimented by the company’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP), built on four pillars – opportunity, innovation, people, and impact. This framework fosters a culture driven by purpose and technology, where employees feel a sense of belonging and contribute meaningfully to the economy.
