MOBILE service provider Vodacom Lesotho recently launched a new game named Play&Win Every Day Summer competition.

The game will offer Vodacom pre-paid, hybrid and post-paid subscribers the opportunity to play and win a variety of prizes.

Vodacom Lesotho corporate affairs manager Mpho Brown, told guests at the launch that subscribers were required to opt-In, buy a voice or data bundle for M5 or more via the USSD/MyVodacom App, M-Pesa or Pay a bill via M-Pesa for M20 or more to qualify for a Free Play&Win with a guaranteed prize.

He said prizes and plays expire daily while there is no limit to the number of times a subscriber can play. He added that bundle purchases and M-Pesa pay bill plays are allocated within the hour from the time of transaction.

“A subscriber can also instantly purchase a play directly for M1 deducted from the subscriber’s airtime balance,” Brown said.

Brown said prizes will include daily voice and data bundles, weekly travel vouchers, daily smartphones, daily shopping vouchers, weekly M-Pesa cash prizes and monthly grand cash prizes.

“We want to demonstrate the amazing fortunes Vodacom subscribers can get just by using products and services, mainly the data and voice bundle as well as the M-Pesa pay bill services,” he said.

Brown said the aim of the campaign was to reward their loyal customers during the summer season with amazing prizes of up to M1 million and to drive positive perception of value for money, brand loyalty and love for the brand.

At the launch, Vodacom employees demonstrated how the game is played with some winning money as well as Game and Pick&Pay vouchers.

Brown said they gave their employees an opportunity to play the game at the launch because no Vodacom employee would be allowed to pay the game with the public to ensure fair play.

He said relatives of Vodacom employees were also not allowed to play.
