VIRTUE Cosmetics will tomorrow extend its range of products by introducing a lipstick line.
The matte lipsticks will come in four different colours including nude, maroon, pink and red.
Brand founder, Carol Motolo, told the Xpress People that the new product line was within its scope of accentuating women’s beauty by boosting their confidence.
“Beauty to us, means being comfortable in your own skin and the magical moments that you create when you feel confident,” Motolo said.
“Virtue Cosmetics is a brand for women by women and it aims to empower and radiate the strength that exists in our core existence one glowing beat at a time.”
Motolo is a published author, magazine owner, an entrepreneur and a mother born and raised in Tsikoane, Leribe.
Inspired by Kenyan beauty influencer Huddah, Motolo took a crack at the beauty industry and founded her cosmetics brand in August 2018. The Virtue eye-lashes range was her first product on the market.
“I am fully hands-on in terms of my products from designs to marketing, choosing colours, finding distributors and selling my product.”
Aside from her involvement regarding the productions of both her eye-lashes and lipsticks, Motolo has distributors in Bloemfontein and Johannesburg.
She is currently working on recruiting local distributors and is also working towards opening a beauty store in Lesotho.
Motolo said consumers can look forward to the addition of more beauty products including foundations and eye shadows among others.
“Despite knowing that it may be a challenge, I hope my brand will grow globally and I know with hard work it is possible,” Motolo said.
She also hopes to one day open a beauty school in Lesotho and is already working towards opening a health and beauty spa. She is optimistic that the spa will start operating before the end of the year.
