MUSIC producer Nelson Chikuvira popularly known as uNejah says his stable is set to embark onto a local and regional tour to promote dancehall music.

uNejah told the Xpress People that the tour would take artistes from his uNejah Studios and other from different stables on the tour around Lesotho starting this weekend. The tour will also see them performing in Zimbabwe in December.

The tour started at the Quthing Community Hall last night which will be followed by another in Qacha’s Nek month. They are also scheduled to perform in at least four other districts before they leave for Zimbabwe.

He said although this would be the first time that they are holding such a tour, they expect to hold similar events every festive season to promote dancehall music.

“There are very few dancehall platforms for artistes who play the genre and this is one of the ways we are willing to promote it and showcase the talent the country has,” uNejah said.

“We want to promote the local dancehall industry which is being neglected. The music loving public has no idea how many dancehall artistes we have here who are really good.”

He further said they have recorded over 50 tracks which will be released on the tour.

As part of the line-up, the tour will have artistes such as Babatunde, Blaze Shatta Qween, Allnight Dj, Chocolate Soul and Moddow among others.

Babatunde is a budding artiste who released his debut single titled Moratoe in June this year featuring Emaster from Zimbabwe and released his second single titled Ghetto Youths three weeks ago.

uNejah said he is also set to release his own extended play (EP) later this month while he will next week release his Levels riddim project with 16 tracks with both local and Zimbabwean artistes.

“All of these tracks will be performed on the tour and we promise our fans nothing but major fun,” uNejah said.
