INSURANCE company, Thaba-Bosiu Risk Solutions (TRS), has marked its 19th anniversary with a heartfelt act of compassion – donating a much-needed wheelchair to Lithapelo Masasane, a 32-year-old woman who has faced mobility challenges all her life.

In a community-centred ceremony held in Qoaling, Maseru on Thursday, TRS handed over the wheelchair to Ms Masasane, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community development through its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) program.

The wheelchair donation exemplified TRS’s compassion and efforts to support those in need within the local community, making a meaningful difference in the life of a woman who has long faced mobility issues.

Speaking at the event, TRS Managing Director, ‘Matokelo Seturumane, expressed pride in the company’s long-standing presence in Lesotho and emphasized the importance of giving back to the community.

“Our anniversary is not just about celebrating our achievements, but also about reaffirming our dedication to making a positive impact,” Ms Seturumane said.

“Initiatives like this wheelchair donation are part of our ongoing efforts to uplift vulnerable groups and promote social well-being.”

Ms Seturumane explained that the wheelchair represented more than just a device, but a symbol of mobility, freedom, and restored dignity.

“It reminds us that while not all challenges are visible, every human being deserves the chance to move forward, literally and figuratively,” she said.

On behalf of the Masasane family, Lithapelo expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, saying, “It has been a difficult journey, and I have sought help from many organizations without success. I am thankful to God for showing up through Thaba Bosiu Risk Solutions.”

As the company celebrates nearly two decades of service, Ms Seturumane said that its focus “remains on community engagement and social upliftment”, demonstrating that corporate success is most meaningful when shared with those who need it most.
