THE police are investigating a case in which a 13-year old Thaba-Tseka teenager is accused of raping a three-year-old from the same district.
“It is reported that on 27 January 2016, at around 10 am, the toddler’s mother discovered that her child who was playing outside the house had disappeared,” Sen Insp Molefe said.
“A search party found the toddler naked and crying. The half-naked suspect was allegedly standing next to the victim. The suspect will appear before court once investigations have been completed.”
In another rape case, Sen Insp Molefe said a 31-year-old Qacha’s Nek man was facing charges of sodomising a 12-year-old boy from the same village.
He said reports suggested that on 30 January 2016, at around 4pm, the boy was going to a cattle post when he met the suspect who covered the victim’s head with a blanket.
Sen Insp Molefe said after allegedly sodomising the boy, the suspect threatened to kill him should he report the sexual abuse to anyone.
“The parents saw their son’s trousers blood-stained and after quizzing him, the boy narrated his ordeal,” he said.
“The matter was reported to the chief who instructed his assistants to escort the suspect to the police station.”
