MASERU — Returning Likhopo striker Thapelo Tale has promised to help Likhopo challenge for silverware in the new season. The diminutive striker has re-joined his former club after a one-year spell with Serbian club FC Scrum. “I learned a lot from my time playing in Serbia and I’m here to improve and become a better player,” Tale said.
Tale told the Sunday Express that he still has an ambition to play football overseas again. “Things did not go according to plan in Serbia, but I have not given up on my dream to play there again.” Speaking about Likhopo, Tale said his team has assembled a squad good enough to challenge for silverware with the likes of LCS, Bantu, Matlama and Lioli. “It’s really going to be an interesting season and I’m looking forward to teaming up with Lehlomela Ramabele at club level,” said Tale.
The two strikers have formed a deadly combination playing for the national team and Tale told this paper that he is looking forward to tearing teams apart with his partner. “We have a good understanding from the national team and he will be surrounded by quality players at Likhopo,” he said.
Also hoping to get his career back on track is former Lioli bad-boy Sello ‘Muso. Likhopo signed the talented striker during the off-season and have promised to help him forget his off-the-field problems. Likhopo host Thapelo Tale’s homeboys Qoaling Highlanders today in their second match of the new campaign at the Ratjomose Barracks ground.
