?A 29-year-old man from Braakfontein, Ha Rantalenyane in Mohale’s Hoek, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering three women.
According to Tuesday’s Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS)’s weekly press briefing, the suspect was taken into police custody on April 5 2024, following a police investigation that led to him.
The man has only been identifed by his incognito social media name, “Ntta Koloi Hadipalangoe Puodifele”, loosely translated to?“My?vehicles must be ridden, full stop”.
It is reported that in February this year, residents of Ha Rantalenyane, Braakfontein, reported smelling a foul odor from their fields.
The police then kicked off investigations and dug up the body of a woman.
A week later, the body of another woman was found in the same fields. The police suspect the man to be involved in both cases.
The police investigation further revealed that the second victim had a family and children living in Mapoteng.
The police report again states, that the suspect and the victim had communicated on the internet, where he (the suspect) had told her that he wanted to marry her.
She then traveled from Mapoteng to Braakfontein, where she went missing.
Fortunately, her children were able to see photos that the suspect had sent their mother, and reported to the police that she had disappeared after speaking to him.
The police visited Mapoteng to meet with the family to confirm the information.
It is worth noting that the suspect, is currently out on bail for allegedly killing his girlfriend by stoning her to death in Braakfontein.
The suspect is married and has children of his own.
Meanwhile, the suspect also confessed that he had disposed of another body in January this year, which prompted the police to take the confession seriously.
They have thus enlisted the help of a pathologist, who will examine the corpse in the event that it is dug up from where the suspect claims to have buried it.
The suspect is believed to have lured all three victims through online communications under the name “Ntta Koloi Hadipalangoe Puodifele.”
