MASERU — A sergeant major in the Lesotho Defence Force, T’seliso Mosakeng, was found dead in his burning house at Ha Leqele last week Friday.
Police suspect that he committed suicide.
Police spokesperson, Inspector Pheello Mphana, said he was informed that Mosakeng had a dispute with his wife.
“The neighbours had called Thamae police for help,” Mphana said.
Officers from Thamae Police Station respondend to the call but when they got to Mosakeng’s place they found the house locked and they decided to go back.
He said the police were called again at 11pm.
They found Mosakeng’s body in one of the rooms. The other rooms were on fire.
His brother, Makhula Mosakeng told the Sunday Express that Mosakeng had been drinking before the incident.
The chief of Ha Leqele, Moholi Moholi, said some neighbours came to his house at around 2am on Saturday to tell him that Mosakeng was dead.
