PRIME Minister Thomas Thabane is in a stable condition and will soon be returning home after being admitted to a Bloemfontein hospital for an undisclosed ailment on Thursday.

The Prime Minister’s Office Press Attaché, Thabo Thakalekoala, yesterday told the Sunday Express that contrary to reports being circulated, the premier was on the mend and would return to the country as soon doctors completed their regular medical tests.

“The honourable Prime Minister Dr Thomas Motsoahae Thabane visited a health facility in South Africa on 15 February 2018 for his regular check-up,” Mr Thakalekoala said.

“The doctors however, decided to temporary keep him as an in-patient and run some tests.

“The government therefore informs the nation that the Prime Minister is in good health, the nation must stay calm and avoid listening to people falsely claiming that Dr Thabane is in a critical condition.”

Mr Thakalekoala said the doctors would soon inform Dr Thabane’s family and the government of the date that the premier will be discharged from hospital.
