MASERU — Nedbank Lesotho opened a new branch at Maseru Mall on Friday, increasing the number of their branches to nine.
Nedbank acting Managing Director Fusi Notoane told the Sunday Express that he chose to open the branch at the Maseru Mall because their survey has shown that the bank has many customers who come from that direction.
The new branch, Notoane said, will ease the queues at the bank especially during month-ends.
Time is also saved when there are a number of branches at strategic places, Notoane said.
“Customers shouldn’t have to take a taxi to town because that is going to cost them money and time,” Notoane said.
Speaking at the launch, Finance Deputy Minister ’Matšepo Ramakoae commended Nedbank for bringing banking services closer to people.
Ramakoae said she has observed that Nedbank has always maintained short queues.
Nedbank chairperson, Sophia Mohapi, was present to witness the opening of the branch.
’Mateko Senchoba was introduced as the new manager of the Maseru Mall branch.
