THETSANE-based hangout spot, K Ash Car Wash, is set to host a musical fiesta featuring an array of local acts on 25 March 2016.

According to the organiser, Kamohelo “DJ Edwin” Lebesa, K Ash, the event was meant to promote local talent.

“It is no secret that local acts always complain about not being taken seriously, so I intend to use the car wash as a platform to showcase home-grown talent,” he said.

“I believe they deserve more recognition than they currently receive. They should not be merely booked to be only the opening acts for foreign acts since they have proven their abilities already.

“My aim is to promote local artists so they get the respect they deserve from local promoters and event organisers.”

The show’s line-up will include the likes of Sadon, Bible Verse, OG S’Killz, L Tore, Nirex, Ragga Vybz, MIP and Rhythm Child among others. DJs Trybz, AfroDJ, Hunky D, Sech, Ronald Rascal and Osmic are also billed to perform while comedian Lilaphalapha would be the show’s host.
