Sports Reporter MAFETENG— Lioli beat Bantu 1-0 in a Vodacom Premier League match in Mafeteng yesterday.
The win, secured through a Bafokeng Mosala first half goal, was Lioli’s first in seven matches and saw the club move up one place into ninth on the table, with 11 points.
Mosala’s winning goal just before the end of the first half helped the team ease their relegation worries.
In what was a hard-fought encounter, Lioli midfielder Robert Florisson was sent off for a second bookable offence soon after the break.
However, the Teyateyaneng outfit held on under Bantu pressure to claim a win that gives them a six-point cushion over the side in the relegation place, Majantja.
Bantu remain in seventh position with 14 points and they are still looking for consistency to match their cup exploits.
