THIRTY-FIVE-YEAR old, Nthethe Ts’osane, from Ha Leqele in Maseru recently won M150 000 in Econet Telecom Lesotho’s ‘Matsebetsebe share a million promotion’.

The Matsebetsebe share a Million is a promotion where customers stand easy chances of becoming daily and monthly cash and Kwese TV kits winners through recharges and SMSes.

There are two ways to qualify for the draws. Customers need to send the word ‘Econet’ to 65100 and play trivia question and answer game. For every correct answer, a customer collects 10 points and 5 point for a wrong answer. The points are the customer’s entry into the draw and the more one plays, the more their chances of winning. Each SMS costs M1.00.

Secondly, customers can qualify for the draw by recharging airtime onto their phones. Every M10 recharge gives 1 point and the more one recharges the more the chances of winning (except for airtime transfer).

Speaking at the handover ceremony in Maseru on Friday, Ts’osane, a sales marketer by profession, spoke of his joy in winning the competition.

He said he entered the competition by depositing money into his Eco-Cash account.

“Even though I kept entering the Matsebetsebe promotion, I didn’t think I could win so much money,” Tsosane said.

Econet Telecom Lesotho’s Product Manager, Tlhaku Mokhethi, said that Econet would continue to empower its customers by creating platforms like the Matsebetsebe promotion.

“The first and second star prize winners have proved that anyone who enters the competition has a chance to win big prizes,” Mokhethi said, adding, “We hope that the life of the third star prize winner will also improve”.
