MASERU — As the year comes to an end we talk to some of our celebrities about their successes, Christmas plans and New Year’s resolutions.

Palesa Motlomelo, Vodacom Superstar winner

2011 successes: This year has been a great year for me. I won the biggest music competition in Lesotho and gained recognition. I helped pay recording fees for Thato Liphoto who managed to make it to the top twenty of the Vodacom Superstar competition. I decided to assist her after I learnt she was an orphan with talent. It has been a year of blessings.

Christmas plans: I will be giving as much as I can. I will be celebrating with children
living at Gods ’Love Orphanage today as part of my Christmas activities.

New Year’s Resolutions: I plan to set up a bursary project to pay fees for less
privileged children.

I will be organising a show in January to raise funds for the project and hopefully raise enough money to pay for at least 10 children.

Dunamis, a hip hop artiste

2011 Successes: I dropped an album which did so well that it sold out.

I don’t have copies to sell any more and I am very pleased by the support I received.

I also recorded and mentored a group of young emcees who will be releasing an album in the next two weeks.

This is a huge achievement for me as a growing artiste.

Christmas plans: While everyone is celebrating and spending time with their loved ones, I will be busy shooting music videos for hit songs on my album.

New Year’s resolutions: I will be establishing a media company in South Africa and I will be working with giants in Mzansi’s music and entertainment industry.

I will be releasing five music videos.

I also have a few surprises for my fans.

Silas Monyatsi, filmmaker

2011 Successes: The year was very good for the industry. other production companies released works that really set a mark in the industry.

Christmas plans: I am going to spend
quality time with my kids doing all exciting things with them.

On New Year’s Eve I want to be worshiping God for his greatness.

New Year’s resolutions: I want to work on films that are not HIV and Aids related. I will be raising funds for a script that I am to develop.

I will be taking all films that I have worked on to international film festivals.

Nomasondo Mphakisoane, a beauty queen

2011 successes: The year started on a high note and I was convinced it was my year but it ended on a sad note.

Christmas plans: My activities will be more in line with family. I will just let my hair down and enjoy the festive season.

New Year’s resolutions: I don’t normally plan ahead or make the resolutions because I know I will never keep them. My plan is to live each day as it comes.

I am only planning to increase my social responsibility
activities to strengthen my
modeling portfolio.

Karabelo Mokoallo, a beauty queen

2011 successes: It has been an enriching year for me. God has shown me his greatness by blessing me with an international crown.

Christmas plans: I will be spending time with my family and going to church.

improving everything I need to improve for next year.

I will continue to be grateful for the chance, life and blessing God has given me.
