LNBS screens reality show Itabolele

PAPALI Productions, in collaboration with Lesotho National Broadcasting Service (LNBS) on Friday screened the first episode of the local reality TV series Itabolele.

Screened at 7pm every Friday, Itabolele, which is a six-part reality television programme shot by Papali Productions – a television production company based in both Lesotho and South Africa. The reality series showcases the LNBS’s presenter search which was held in July.

According to Tumelo Matobako of Papali Productions, the series will cover all the auditions from the districts up to the finals.

“The reality series commences with auditions that were held in Mohale’s Hoek, Leribe and Maseru and it is a journey packed into an entertaining 24 minutes episodes,” Matobako said.

“There were about 800 determined youths that showed up for auditions in the aforementioned districts which is shown in episode one to three.

“The rest of the episodes show the 11 finalists at the camp in Thaba Bosiu where they were trained by TV experts and given tasks, up to where the three finalists were selected through an elimination method.”

Matobako further revealedthat although they experienced a lot of challenges during the production of the programme, they were heartened by the overwhelming response.

He also said that the footage collected from the auditions will be used to identify talent for other other fields such as voice-over adverts and modelling photo-shoots.
