MASERU — Premier league giants, Linare, will host a gala dinner at Maseru Sun Cabanas on November 30. Linare public relations officer, Teboho Ntoane, told the Sunday Express that preparations are going well for the club’s first-ever gala dinner which forms part of their fundraising campaigns for the Hlotse-based team.
“Everything is well so far and our supporters have also been buying tickets to support the initiative,” Ntoane said. He said the gala dinner will play a big role in helping Linare become a big brand for a club with so much history. “We have sat down as the management of the club to come up with initiatives that we feel can help the club grow on and off the field.
Ntoane said they are also expecting the corporate world to take part in their gala dinner to make it a success. “The event is expected to attract sponsorship that will be invest in the team to help it grow,” said Ntoane. He told this paper that the monies that will be raised at the gala dinner will help grow the club and also pay for the needs of players.
Clubs such as Lioli and Bantu have held gala dinners in the past years raising big monies to help develop their sides. Linare is currently being sponsored by the Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG). The team has also been doing well under the mentorship of Thulo Leboela.
Tse Tala as the Hlotse-based team is affectionately known sit in fifth position in the league table.
