MASERU — Fashion scarf business Lily and Lionel has teamed up with Sentebale, a charity founded in 2006 by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. Lily and Lionel designed two prints inspired by Lesotho’s traditional Basotho blankets, a garment that has been worn by the population for centuries, for both everyday and special occasions.
The limited edition collection will see just 30 pieces of each print produced. Sentebale is an organisation dedicated to the children of Lesotho who have been affected by poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. By developing long-term solutions to the problems facing Lesotho today, Sentebale aims to provide future generations with the tools they need to build sustainable communities and brighter futures.
The company aims to donate 75 percent from the sale of these scarves to Sentebale, which will be available to purchase online from July. — FashionUnited
