TOP sprinter, Mosito Lehata, disappointed once again on the grand stage after he was disqualified in the 100 metres event at the ongoing International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Championships in London on Friday evening.
The star sprinter was penalised for a false start in Heat 4 of the race that was subsequently won by a Chinese Bingtian SU with Great Britain’s Chijindu Ujah as runner up.
The 27 year-old Lehata seems to find the going tough at the big stage.
At last year’s Rio Olympics in Brazil, he failed to qualify for the semi-finals after being beaten at the finish line.
The last time he did well was when he finished fourth at the 2014 Commonwealth Games 100 meters final in Glasgow, Scotland.
Lehata was part of a three member Lesotho team along with long distance runners, Tšepo Mathibelle and Lebenya Nkoka at the World Championships which end next Sunday.
