MASERU — Bokang Mothoana’s team Union Sportive Monastir won promotion into the Tunisian Premier League after it secured a goal-less draw against CS Msaken last Sunday.
The result means Monastir now have an unassailable 10 point advantage over third-placed AS Djerba with three games left.
Mothoana, better known as Lefty, first signed for US Monastir in 2007 and helped the club reach its first ever Tunisian Cup final in 2009.
This season Monastir reached the quarterfinals of the competition but were knocked out by Esperance.
Monastir are in first place three points ahead of second placed ES Beni Khalled.
Lefty has been capped 29 times for the Lesotho national soccer team.
