KICK4LIFE Ladies’ team coach Elizabeth Yelimala believes the return of star duo Litšeoane Maloro and Senate Letsie will be a huge boost to her charges ahead of the upcoming Women’s Super League (WSL) campaign.

The duo was unveiled as the team’s new acquisition on Wednesday alongside with former Thaba-Tseka ladies midfielder Retšepile Moiloa.

Maloro is re-joining Kick4life after a one-year spell with Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies in the SAFA Women’s National League (SWNL).

Letsie is back in the team from a three-year stint at Lewis & Clark College in the United States of America from 2017 where she was also studying.

Kick4Life Ladies’ manager ‘Makatleho Pitso said Maloro will be with the team for two years as she is back in the country to further her studies. On the other hand, Senate will only be playing for Kick4Life during her stay in the country until her school reopens. The school is currently closed due to Covid-19.

Yelimala told the Sunday Express on Friday that the experience gathered by the players while playing outside the country will come in handy for his squad.

“The players are really a boost for Kick4Life as well as to the upcoming youngsters in the team,” Yelimala said.

“They are experienced players therefore; they will be good role models for our young squad. As for the midfielder from Thaba-Tseka, she is a good speedy player who can fit into our style of play.”

Although she is a striker, Maloro has been playing as a defender at Bloemfontein Celtic and Yelimala said Kick4Life will decide what position she will play.

She said they are only bringing three players this season because they have confidence in the capabilities of their young squad.

Kick4Life are still to win a league title having finished second last season. Yelimala said last season they had chance of winning the league but were deterred by its premature end due to the Covid-19.

“Our target is now to win the league this season,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Kick4Life men’s side also unveiled 16 new players and a new head coach on Wednesday.

Former, Liphakoe, Sefotha-Fotha and Lioli coach Motebang Makhetha is the new coach for the Old Europa outfit. Makhetha will be assisted by Teboho Kokome and Molefi Katane.

The new players include Karabelo Pita, Lebohang Tjoloba, Teboho Montlha, Katleho Molefe, Mohlomi Makhetha, Reatile Ntene, Tšolo Lelimo and Hlompho Moletsane who have all been promoted from their development side.

Moruti Thamahane, Rorisang Moabi, Kamohelo Makateng and Tšepang Bulane are back into the team.

Kick4Life have also secured the services of Mapola brothers; Tlotliso and Thapelo from Masowe City Stars while they have also signed Pontšo Khotso and Rapaulina Maime from Likhopo and LCS respectively.
