KFC Lesotho has opened a new branch in Thetsane. This is the company’s 10th restaurant in the country.

Speaking at the weekend launch, KFC Lesotho director, Grant Wheatly, said the restaurant will employ 34 locals from the Thetsane area.

“We hope this project will bring development to this area. I can guarantee that within three years this land will be developed and create hundreds of new job opportunities,” Mr Wheatly said.

He expressed his appreciation to Nedbank Lesotho for funding the project.

“We thank Nedbank Lesotho for an excellent job and their continued support.  It has been a great journey that we wouldn’t have managed without their support which has enabled us to keep growing this business and creating jobs,” Mr Wheatly said.

He said KFC Lesotho is delighted to contribute to the country’s economic growth.

The company employs about 350 people and intends to engage more in future.

On his part, KFC Lesotho General Manager, Trymore Machimo, said he was happy that the company continues to grow.

“I am delighted that our stakeholders and customers are here today to bear witness to the opening of yet another restaurant.

“Thank you all, the funders for making it happen, the chief for allowing us to bring this investment to this area, my team for growing this business, and customers for consuming our product,” Mr Machimo said.

KFC Lesotho area coach, Thabang Plaatjies, pledged to serve quality products.

“We value great-tasting products and guaranteed freshness. KFC Thetsane will serve products of the best quality,” Mr Plaatjies said

He said KFC Thetsane would continue to work hard to expand the company across the country.
