ENTERTAINMENT outfit, Jam Session Sounds will on the 27th of this month host its debut edition of the Jam Session Comedy and Music festival at ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre.
Musicians expected to perform at the event include Selimo Thabane, Bhudaza, Mantša, Sentšo, Khojay Music, Kingdom Classics and Thoriso Ralefu Ensembile. They will share the stage with comedians namely Cura, Leotoana, Sir Matee, Kibiti and Monare.
There will also be performances from DJs such as Bootz, Javas, Davertz, Counter Force, Kopper and Bablo among others.
The co-owner of Jam Sessions, Napolinah, told the Xpress People that the show is aimed at promoting local talent and empowering artistes with exposure so that they can host high profile events without necessarily bringing in international acts.
“We have built the line-up in such a way that there will be local musicians and comedians who are we believe will make this event a success,” Napolinah said.
He said the line-up they put together will accommodate revellers of different age groups also aided by combining music and comedy.
Napolinah further said they are already working on plans to make the festival an annual event to promote local talent.
He said they will ensure to have facilities for children which include jumping castles to accommodate all ages.
Jam Session Sounds is a local company which offers PA system hire, LED screens, crowd barricades, DJ’s, stage, lighting and generator services for different events.
“We would like to see to see a future where local show organisers no longer need to hire such resources from South Africa because we are all about promoting local,” Napolinah said.
