THE government has appointed four principal secretaries (PS) to fill vacant positions within its ministries.
According to a statement issued by the office of the Government Secretary Lebohang Ramohlanka on Friday, Tsietsi Lebakae had been appointed Ministry of Health PS, Fusi Notoane for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Tom Mpeta for the Ministry of Finance and Tšokolo Maina for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
The move follows the reshuffling of four other PSs on 6 July 2016, with Selloane ‘Mamakhaola Qhobela being moved from the Ministry of Police and Public Safety to the Social Development ministry.
’Malerato Khoeli, who was Public Works and Transport ministry PS, was transferred to the Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation, while ’Mapalesa Rapapa, was moved from the Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Police and Public Safety.
Majakathata Mokoena-Thakhisi, who was PS for the Ministry of Trade and Industry, now holds the same position in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
