COMEDY show, Gags and Music Wednesdays is set to host its first ever show outside Maseru when it takes to Leribe at Mahlakapese Guest House on 27 July 2019.

The founder of Gags and Music Wednesdays, Skaftin born Jeremiah Lebea told the Xpress People that they will also have their usual comedy night on the last Wednesday of the month at Cuban Linx.

“We have our show on the 24 July at Cuban Linx as usual, then on the 27th we will be in Leribe where we have been invited to perform,” Skaftin said.

Among the performers at the Leribe show will be Leotoana, Mokotatsie, Tshehla while musicians will come from Ebonics and Nkoanyane Pitso.

“At our last show, we had a performer from Mohale’s Hoek named Energy. I’m excited that we are having comedians coming from different parts of the country. It means that the platform is serving its purpose,” he said.

He said they are also planning to take the show to Teyateyaneng and Thaba-Tseka soon.

“We have been trying for a long time to host the show in Leribe but were struggling with a venue and we are glad that Mahlakapese Guest House is willing to host us,” he said.

He said unlike their Maseru shows which are hosted on Wednesdays, the Leribe show would be held on a Saturday to accommodate more revellers who may not ordinarily manage to go out on a Wednesday.

He assured the show’s Maseru following that the move does not mean that they are turning their backs on the capital.

Skaftin said their aim is to take the show across the country adding that they are ready to accept invitations.

“The show is multi-purpose and does not only present comedy but also serious life lessons. We are trying to show that Lesotho has talent,” Skaftin said.
