LITTLE Feet Foundation (LFF) on Friday hosted a fundraising gala featuring popular South African fitness trainer and wellness motivator, Sbahle Mpisane at AVANI Lesotho Hotel.

Sponsored by Multichoice and LSP Construction, the event was meant to fund-raise for the foundation and also offer the invited guests an opportunity to interact with Mpisane. It was also a precursor to the boot camp that was scheduled for yesterday at Maseru Club.

Addressing the gathering, LFF founder and chairman, Tsabiso Letsoela, said Mpisane’s visit was the foundation’s way of raising funds while also promoting healthy living.

“We are a self-funded organisation and our aim is to end the monotony or habit that Basotho have of relying on donations. We organise a number of activities to raise funds with this being one of them,” he said.

“The foundation was started with the sole purpose of meeting the psychological needs, physical, health and education of the vulnerable and orphaned kids.”

Mr Letsoela said the boot camp was meant to promote good health.

“Sbahle’s hosting of the boot camp is meant to promote exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. So if we lead by example as adults in getting physically fit, children will follow suit for they always look up to us and copy what we do,” he said.

For her part, Mpisane stressed the importance of keeping fit, especially for women.

“I always encourage women to strive to maintain a healthy lifestyle for everything in the families begins with them. Therefore they need to live longer,” said the 23-year old.

“This is just the beginning of our relationship with Little Feet and I am really looking forward to working with you so expect to see more of me as we promote good health together in Lesotho.”
