Flying Fish spices up Maseru Sundays

MASERU Sundays will never be the same again after Maluti Mountain Brewery’s (MMB) Flying Fish brand launches the Add Some Flavour Chillas at Victoria Poolside in Maseru this afternoon.

The concept is meant to promote the Flying Fish cider while at the same time igniting the usually laid-back Sundays from today until the last Sunday of the year.

Although the launch edition was attended by a few invited guests, organisers say the rest of the events would be open for the public.

MMB Country brand and trade marketing manager, Seema Tšotetsi, told the Express People told that the social gatherings were also aimed at kicking off the festive season in style while hyping the Flying Fish brand.

He said Flying Fish was known to bring people together and the concept was befitting for the brand.

“The idea behind Flying Fish is to bring people together and because we have realised that Sundays are mostly dull, we thought this was a great idea to bring people together where they can have fun while enjoying the ice-cold lemon flavoured beverages,” Tšotetsi said.

“We have had Flying Fish influencers who have been creating a buzz around the brand in the run up to the launch of the event. We also want to see how well this event will go but, in the future, we will be having different promotions for revellers,” he said.

Tšotetsi said they also hope to utilise the platform to promote responsible drinking in line with the brewery’s policies.

“Although we are an alcohol selling company and we want people to drink, we also want our clients to do that responsibly. It’s a known fact that festive season comes with a lot of accidents and we want to promote responsible drinking so that people don’t drink and drive.”

He noted that they would also promote local talent and businesses as there will be performances from local artistes every Sunday.

“Music is a catalyst for every gathering especially one intended to entertain people. Therefore, we will hire stages and speakers for the local artistes, who will perform at the event,” Tšotetsi said.
