Five Lesotho nationals held for murder

RUSTENBURG — South Africa police on Wednesday arrested five Basotho men for the alleged murder of a couple also from Lesotho.
North West police said the five allegedly killed the couple at a house in Rustenburg’s Boitekong suburb on December 12.
Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said the 29-year-old husband and his 25-year-old wife had open wounds to the head and body.
Several spent cartridges and rounds of live ammunition were found at the scene.
Police made a breakthrough on Wednesday when they found one of the suspects at his workplace.
He then led the police to the other four suspects.
They are between the ages of 28 and 32.
The man who was killed and the five suspects were wanted in connection with some murder cases in Boitekong’s Sondela section.
They are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
