PIONEER Mall on Friday launched a three-day Hair and Beauty Expo at the shopping complex which will end today.
The expo is the first of its kind to be held in the country and features 18 exhibitors.

Through the expo, agents, manufacturers and sellers of hair, health and beauty products as well as services have been afforded the platform to showcase their wares under one roof.

One of the highlights of the event was a beauty show held yesterday with models showcasing the products on offer.
“We host expos on a regular basis like the fashion and furniture expos we hold annually for shops that are based here at the mall, but we have not catered for hair and beauty spas,” Pioneer Mall’s Marketing Assistant, Phokoane Taoana, told Xpress People during the expo.

“Lesotho has never had the opportunity to witness a hair and beauty expo so we saw a perfect opportunity to give these exhibitors the platform to showcase their products.
“This expo is not only open for Pioneer tenants, we have also invited spa and beauty professionals at all levels to come and showcase their stuff so that shoppers can have a unique opportunity to source and experience the latest beauty products, treatments, ideas and equipment.”
“The event is not only focused on cosmetics and skin treatment products but we have also engaged organisations and individuals that offer any products that are related to beauty such as earrings and beads. We have excluded clothes because we have a fashion show that caters for that,” Taoana said.

“We are aiming to make it an annual event which will take place during this period of the year and hoping to make it bigger every year.
“This is the first event of this nature but we were able to attract companies from South Africa like Mellow Mon Hair based in Bloemfontein.”

The expo saw Pioneer Mall tenants and companies from elsewhere such as Forever Living Products, Lotus, Hair Lounge Beauty Spa, Glamorous Accessories, Yellow Diamonds Day Spa, MAD and Phano ea Bophelo, showcasing their products.

One of the exhibitors, Mants’asa Moletsane of Glamorous Accessories, told Xpress People the event is giving them exposure.
“This expo will help boost our clientele as we are exposed to different types of shoppers who will be attracted by our hand-made jewelry other than when we are at the office where we only see regular customers or people who have been referred to us” said Moletsane.
